$15 off diapers
So, I'm trying to get a few more referral credits at Diapers.com so I can buy a friend of mine some cloth diapers. So, if you've never bought anything from Diapers.com before, you can get $10 off your first order of $49 or more (plus free shipping) with my referral code. In addition, they will take of $5 from your second order. Just use the code BECC7547 when checking out. Your order must include diapers. They used to use this on cloth diapers if you called in and asked them to apply it (that's what I did), but I think they might only use it for disposables now. Either way, it's a good deal. So, go to Diapers.com, use my code BECC7547, and you will get $10 off your first order of diapers. Thanks!
Keep your eyes peeled for my next giveaway! I'd have it up and running already but I'm in the throws of the last week of school right now and the giveaway includes a tutorial so it probably won't be up for another week.
One more hint: Oooga Booga.
Am I confusing anyone yet?

Diaper Changing or Diaper Wrestling?
I'm not sure if I can tell the difference these days when it comes to changing Bunny's diaper. What used to be a calm and happy time of becoming dry and clean is now an all-out wrestling match. She used to love to get her diaper changed and suddenly, now that she's becoming increasingly mobile (she's crawling and working on walking--YIKES!) she hates getting her diaper changed, and sometimes, not even a toy in her face will distract her from the task.
I think she has officially entered the stage of temper tantrums, too. No, I know she has. She throws temper tantrums frequently now, and I am pretty sure to get one any time it comes to changing her diaper! Maybe I should put her in diapers that feel wet against her skin rather than in these types that wick the moisture away and keep her too comfortable...

BumGenius and a Sunhat
The Children's Place near where I live has amazing sales. I went there recently and got 3 or four outfits for $16 or something--the most expensive thing I bought being a $3.50 pair of sunglasses to protect my daughter's amazing and sensitive blue eyes. Go figure, she refuses to wear them. I also got this ADORABLE sunhat for only $1.99! It happens to match my moonbeam bumGenius perfectly so I decided to do a photo shoot just because. Enjoy!

Mother's Day Pictures
First we took a family portrait. Since no one was there to do it for us, it was a long process of setting timer, letting the picture take (and hoping Bunny would look, which she rarely did as she was quite enchanted with my flower) and then walking back to see if it was good, setting the timer again, and repeating the process.
On a side note, since this was my first Mother's Day, it was the first day I got to wear a flower given to all the Mommies in my church! Yay!!!
A couple more tries.
Picture with daddy, but she wasn't too excited about the camera.
And some pictures with Mommy, since Mommy's almost always behind the camera, and today is Mommy's day!
Aren't baby kisses the best?
Playtime with Daddy! Normally it's Mommy who does this type of thing and Daddy who asks Mommy to please be careful. We've switched typical gender roles, I know.
Daddy, what is that wonderful thing around your neck?
I must eat it!
Mommy got an iPhone from Daddy and Bunny. This was ALL Daddy's idea!
Bunny was pretty excited about playing with the box, though!
Naptime before playtime. Oh, the blessed peace of cuddles with my little Bunny! Heaven on earth!
Time to go to the park!
This seating arrangement seemed appropriate.
And to end it all off--ICE CREAM!

Less than $20!
My husband and I went yard-saleing last weekend. It was the first time we've ever been able to just intentionally search for yard sales! Normally we see one and either have no time so we pass it by, or we try to cram in a quick visit on the way to our destination but we spent the whole morning last Saturday perusing those we found as we meandered through neighborhoods at a leisurely pace. We had one goal in mind--baby stuff. I wanted baby clothing because we're quickly running out of all the baby shower gifts as Bunny get's close to growing out of her 6-9 month clothes and we don't really have money to restock her wardrobe every 3-6 months. I wanted to get her books because I want to instill a love of reading in her and I'm getting tired of reading the ones she already has that are somewhat age-appropriate (meaning they aren't super long). And I thought it would be nice to get her some more toys, though she has two baskets of toys and really, are toys a necessity when babies and kids often prefer to play with things of the non-toy variety anyway?
So, after a couple of hours of stopping at yard sales and toting our precious one in and out of the car in her adorable sunhat and dress, this is what we got:
Less than $20 for the whole thing. I'd say that was successful, wouldn't you?

Guest Blogger
Check out my guest post over at The Cloth Diaper Whisperer! This is my last guest post for them because I have agreed to write exclusively for The Cloth Diaper Blog about all things cloth, aside from my own blog. I'm pretty excited about this opportunity because I have thoroughly enjoyed writing for them thus far. They have been so easy to work with and getting to know the ladies behind The blog and Diaper Junction has been wonderful, so I'm delighted to be a part of their team :-D
It's been awhile
It's been awhile since I've had time to focus on anyone's blog other than my own, and I finally have the time to read some and when I go to write comments, blogger is giving me an error message. Go figure.
Don't forget my giveaway!!!
Don't forget to enter to win $10 to Monkeybunz.com here. I made entering easier, this time :-) And remember a $10 gift certificate at a store that offers free shipping to the USA is a great deal!!!

I just joined twitter. My name is "Clothdiapermommy" except it says "Clothdiapermomm" on my tweet site. What???
But I have NO IDEA what to do or how to use it. Can anyone help me? Friend me? Or something? I'm so lost! Why don't people just stick to Facebook?
I resisted Twitter for so long and now that I've given in, I"m clueless!

8 months and 1 day
(Bunny at almost 8 months)
Bunny is 8 months and 1 day old today.
That probably doesn't seem monumental to you, but it is to me because of one reason: Leah.
Who's Leah? Well, if you haven't heard of Jess over at Adjusting to the World, then go over there and check her out!
Leah is her daughter. Her adorable daughter! And Jess is one of my best friends in the whole world so, even though I've never met Leah due to the fact that we live so far apart, Leah is one of my favorite babies in the whole world.
Jess was 8 months pregnant (well, closer to 9) when I found out I was pregnant. I'd been following her pregnancy letter for letter and word for word, so she was the first one I emailed and one of the first I called when pregnancy came knocking on my door. Pregnancy was hard for me, so being pregnant with Jess for even a few weeks was comforting.
Then, when she gave birth, I would check her blog daily, thirsty for pictures of Leah so I could grasp the end to the means I was suffering. Leah was my goal. Seeing her beautiful face every day on Jess's blog, was sometimes the only way I could have hope in the midst of awful, horrible, let-me-lay-down-and-die morning sickness.
(Leah at around 8 months)
When Bunny was born, Leah was 8 months and 1 day old. She seemed SO big compared to Bunny. Her milestones were SO HUGE and Bunny was still just learning to open her eyes and notice us.
Again, Leah was sort of my goal. Jess's mothering my muse, my inspiration. It's not like I haven't had other mothering inspirations or baby experience. Being the oldest of seven kids means that I was not at all scared of being a mommy. But when it actually happened and my hormones dropped and I had no sleep, and I faced what was probably post-partum depression as I found reasons to cry and/or worry every single day for the first few months of her life, again, seeing pictures of how Leah had grown helped me to realize that I could do it and that the difficult newborn stage would one day end.
Well, now it's over and I'm sad to have said goodbye to it, but so glad for where my wonderful little daughter is. Her milestones are huge now. Almost crawling, pulling herself up to standing, babbling to herself non-stop, purposefully shoving her hands down my shirt because she knows where the milk is now, cracking up when we talk to her...those are just the things I can think of right now.
And anyway, she's where Leah was when she was born and to me that is a milestone. Maybe part of the reason this day is so momentous is that I have never gotten to meet Leah and so pinpointing a day when both Leah and Bunny are in the same stage, feels like getting to know her in a way I have yet to do.
