$10 Gift Certificate to www.monkeybunz.com CLOSED
I was so excited to discover that I'd won a Bumkins Diaper Cover from Monkey Bunz.com awhile back, and even more excited when I discovered that they were going to sponsor a giveaway from my blog!
Yes, folks, it's time for another giveaway! Who doesn't love giveaways???
First things first. Monkeybunz.com is an online retailer that specializes in cloth diapers and cloth diaper accessories and they offer some of your favorite cloth diaper styles and brands. It was started by Rhonda, a stay-at-home-mom who needed to return to work but preferred her at-home lifestyle with her kids. She says, "After a lot of soul searching, and business research, Monkeybunz.com was born. Now we have a business that both eco-friendly and family-friendly. Best of all, it's budget-friendly for our customers."
One of my favorite things about Monkeybunz.com is that it offers Free Shipping within the contiguous USA. Have I mentioned how much I love retailers who offer Free Shipping? So go ahead, add Monkeybunz.com to your list of favorite retailers when you're searching for the next perfect cloth diaper.
With so many good things to say about this store, I'm so pleased to do this giveaway!

Knitting Lessons the sequel
I just finished knitting my first wool cover and I'm SO excited! You can go back to this post to see the beginning part of the process, if you're curious. I'm still very new to knitting 3D garments so this is all very VERY exciting to me! I can't believe I did it and it only took a little over a week and a half!!! Woo hoo!!! I love wool. I'm in a new love affair with wool covers and all natural fitteds/prefolds/contour diapers. Putting natural fabrics on my daughter always cures her diaper rashes right away.
The blue one is the one my friend made me. I made some changes to it to make mine (the yellow and purple one), namely shortening the rise and lengthening the ribbing at the waist and legs. In addition, I thought it would be cute to add another ruffle. What do you think?

A new wool wrap
A super talented friend from my Bible study knit me the most ADORABLE wool diaper cover! It's my very first cover made of wool. I have to say, I was skeptical about the waterproof properties of wool. It just doesn't look waterproof so I just didn't think it would actually work despite many testimonials. But it did. It's amazing. And even when it gets wet, if you let it air dry the smell goes away and it's ready to use again. I didn't even lanolize the thing and it was still waterproof! And when she wore it over night, I let her really soak her diaper to see how much it could hold. It did get slightly wet at that point but I hadn't put a very heavy duty diaper on her and anyway, she had absolutely no rashes with the cotton prefold and a wool cover against her skin. I think I'm liking these natural fabrics!

Showing off the fitted diaper I made from one of her prefolds. It obviously has the double purpose of absorbing her drool--ha ha!
Yes, I will eventually be posting a tutorial so that you can make your own!
I think she likes it!
Time to do the laundry! I'll help you, mommy!!!
So my friend said she'd teach me how to knit three dimensional things. I'm so excited! I think I'm going to find a pattern and then say, "Okay! Here I am! Teach me!" Maybe we can work on it a little bit at a time during our weekly before-Bible-study dinners. Hmmm...
