Some new wool soakers and a matching headband

I wanted Bunny to have a headband to match her wool soakers.  Since I now know how to use circular, double pointed needles, I just knit a circle for the band.  I used the same pattern used for the ruffles on her chartreuse soaker to make the rose, and I used increasing and decreasing stitches to make the leaf.  It wasn't that hard to figure out once I knew the stitches, which I learned from my dear friend while making the soaker.

She's such a pretty little baby model!

Kisses with Mommy before I have to leave to teach for the morning.

I made another soaker with the same pattern as my chartreuse one and adjusted the legs so they were roomier.  Then, instead of ruffles, I added hearts with a chain stitch (I found a tutorial for it online.  I know how to do it in embroidery, but I wasn't sure how to do embroidery on knit.  It also wasn't hard!)
Man, she's so beautiful!

This is a third soaker I made with a completely different pattern.  It was much easier, but I didn't ask for help finishing it, so I think there's a better (well, prettier) way to do it.  Basically, it's a triangle.  You bring up the bottom and attach it to the top and sides.  It's roomy and works very well for prefolds pinned or snappi-ed together.

I put the tie in the back because she's at the stage where she'd pull it out if it were in the front.

I'm not too pleased with the front.  I counted the stitches ABSOLUTELY wrong and didn't match up the stripes the way I had wanted to.  But it fits and works very well, so I guess how it looks isn't really an issue since it's functional.

I can't wait to make my next one! My back went out (this happens once every 1-2 years) so knitting is a way to keep busy while flat on my back.  Well, I'm not always flat on my back, since I have to take care of Bunny despite how I feel. If you think of it, please pray for me. I feel like half a person/mom because i'm unable to do my house chores appropriately and unable to take care of my baby like I want to.  But God is good.  He will heal me.  He always has.
